Xylem Flojet brand has enhanced its VersiJet series industrial motor driven diaphragm (MDD) pumps with the introduction of a four-chamber model. Leveraging pump technology from Flojet, the new MDD pump has been designed to serve industrial applications requiring flow rates of 11-19L/min (LPM).

It is said to have higher pressure capabilities, ambient temperature resistance and longer pumping life. The pump head has been designed with a cast aluminum lower housing for durability, handling a maximum pressure of up to 60psi. Equivalent MDD pumps under the Flojet Quad Series currently handle a maximum pressure of 45psi.
The new four-chamber pumps also improve heat resistance and have been tested to achieve temperature stabilisation in ambient conditions of 50°C — suitable for applications requiring spraying or on-demand pumping in high temperature conditions — unlike the previous model under the Flojet Quad series. Due to this level of heat durability, the pump can be used in heavy-duty applications like agriculture, farming and construction.
Young Baeg, associate product manager at Jabsco, Flojet, said, “By incorporating the qualities of VersiJet series into this new four-chamber design, we offer our industrial OEM customers increased pumping capabilities through a simplified portfolio.”
This four-chamber MDD pump joins a line-up of industrial pumps for use in applications including spraying, fluid transfer, filtration, cooling, dispensing and pressure boosting. The expanded VersiJet series is said to handle pressures of up to 70psi at a maximum capacity of 23LPM.
Since its launch, the VersiJet five-chamber pump has been deployed in heavy-duty applications. The pump’s exterior, coupled with its shock absorption capabilities, supports the operation of agricultural machinery in harsh environments, while its IPX6 rated water protection certification is suited for installation in tough surroundings.
