Xylem awarded for innovation at WEFTEC 2023

Global water technology company Xylem has received the 2023 Innovative Technology Award for its Flygt 4200 compact adaptive mixers series at the Water Environment Federation technical exhibition and conference (WEFTEC), in Chicago, US. Xylem will be honoured at WEFTEC on 3 Oct 2023 during the blue carpet reception and ceremony.

Wastewater treatment facilities that install and run Flygt adaptive mixers can reportedly save up to 50% on energy costs compared to facilities using conventional mixers. The complete control and automation of the mixing process also allows plant operators to adapt to changing process demands with a push of a button.

Xylem will showcase solutions at WEFTEC, designed to help utilities and industrial users build resilience in their infrastructure. The solutions are: the multi-smart powered by Nexicon, a modular controller platform that can scale with features and performance, designed to optimise pump stations; Sanitaire Taron activated sludge filter for wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) needing to increase biological treatment capacity and meet more stringent effluent targets; and the Rivo system which serves as a common analyser and control platform, integrating a range of water treatment processes to allow operators to remotely manage treatment systems across multiple facilities and break down siloed operations.
