Global group in motor, drive, and asset management systems technology WEG is the headline sponsor of this year’s Europump annual meeting, taking place at De Vere Beaumont estate near Windsor, UK from 22-24 May 2024. WEG will be giving a keynote presentation on the ethical, ecological, and commercial benefits of sustainability.

This will be addressed by two senior executives from WEG HQ in Brazil. Daniel Godinho, sustainability and corporate affairs director — who is responsible for social investment, institutional affairs, and business intelligence — will be speaking. Martin Brand, engineering director at WEG Automation who is in-charge of the fabrication and engineering of products for several business segments including low and medium voltage drives, switchgear and solar, will also present this talk.

As a key supplier to the global pump industry, WEG presentation will provide details on its own internal ESG programmes as well as the products and solutions aimed at supporting its partners’ decarbonisation journey, and the reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Hosted by the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), this gathering for the pump sector will deliver a programme of meetings and presentations that offer value at a practical level for Europe’s pump manufacturers and suppliers.

In addition to sessions dedicated to the activities of Europump commissions — technical, standards, marketing, SME — a lineup of keynote speakers has been secured. These include Stephen Phipson, chief executive at Make UK; Kiran Ahmed, lead economist at Oxford Economics; and Mike Otten, director, edge and intelligence at Xylem. These experts will be joined by the two speakers from WEG.

European marketing manager Marek Lukaszczyk said, “The pump industry, in all its facets, continues to be a crucial business sector for WEG and its motor, drive and asset management technology, which support many of the world’s most important pump installations. WEG remains committed to developing its relationship with pump manufacturers across the globe, and we see the 2024 Europump annual meeting as a way of endorsing that universal commitment.”
