U.S.: SUEZ and Aclara sign agreement to provide smart infrastructure solutions to municipalities

Aclara and SUEZ North America recently announced an exclusive strategic partnership to deliver advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) as well as smart infrastructure solutions (SIS) that will enable SUEZ to better serve municipalities across the United States (U.S.).

The exclusive agreement allows both companies to leverage their strengths to benefit utilities. Aclara, based in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S., will be able to broaden its reach and offer utilities facing resource constraints with cutting-edge technology.

Aclara’s AMI and SIS portfolio includes its RF network pressure monitoring and sanitary sewer overflow solutions will be able to round out SUEZ’s portfolio, allowing its customers to more effectively manage their distribution systems and reach their sustainability goals. Additionally, SUEZ North America’s Advanced Solutions division currently offers its customers a wide variety of solutions in water resource and asset management, water quality in distribution systems, as well as water and energy conservation.

“We look forward to helping SUEZ provide their customers with the expertise and technology they need to meet their local requirements. Aclara’s advanced smart infrastructure solutions will offer SUEZ customers new ways to reduce costs and conserve resources,” Allan Connolly, president and CEO of Aclara, said.

“The combination of Aclara and SUEZ will bring a more expanded and scalable solution offering to our customers,” Dominique Demessence, President of SUEZ Advanced Solutions, added. “Our partnership will make it easier than ever for our customers to meet conservation goals and solve distribution challenges today and in the future.”

In addition to providing Aclara water solutions, SUEZ will deliver Aclara’s electric and gas SIS products to municipal utilities that are responsible for a combination of water and energy resources. Aclara will support SUEZ in sales, implementations and management of Aclara installations.
