The inaugural Asia International Water Week with coincide with Korea International Water week, and will held from the 20th to the 23rd of September in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea.
Additionally, an Asia to World Statements, a platform for the highest participation among government authorities, local governments, and waterfront cities in Asia for the promotion of cooperation to solve water issues in Asia and all over the world, will also be hosted.
Twenty-five sessions related to five themes surrounding the major water problems in Asia will also be organised. The five themes are Drinking Water and Sanitation; Sustainable Water Resources Management; Water and Climate Change; Water for Ecosystems and Waterfront; and Water-Energy-Food Nexus.
Special sessions, as well as a water project forum are also slated to take place.
