Spiral Water Chosen for Innovation Showcase at 2016 BlueTech Forum 20:20 Vision

Water Filtration Specialist Also Makes Short-List for BlueTech Forum Awards Honoring the Next Wave of Innovation in Water Treatment Technology

Spiral Water Technologies, a developer of advanced filtration solutions for difficult-to-treat waters, has been invited to share its next-generation self-cleaning filter technology with delegates at the 2016 BlueTech Forum 20:20 Vision, June 1 in San Francisco. The company was also short-listed for the 2016 BlueTech Forum Awards, which honor innovative achievement in the water industry.

Spiral Water will present its new filter system, which integrates the company’s flagship automatic self-cleaning filter with proprietary sensor technology that measures build-up of solids electronically and automatically activates the valve to purge them. Because Spiral Water’s patented automatic filtration technology allows one-pass low micron filtration, requiring no backwash or crossflow, the high and variable solids are automatically concentrated and purged in the process. This enables easy solids recovery and management, and the major reduction in diluted wastewater can significantly lower clean-up expenses.

“The BlueTech Forum is one of the most dynamic and informative events in the water industry,” said Spiral Water’s CEO and President, Ashwin Gulati. “We are honored to have been selected for the Innovation Showcase and look forward to sharing our revolutionary technology with this prestigious audience.”

“The opportunities for Spiral Water are significant in a filter market worth an estimated £8 billion a year,” noted Paul O’Callaghan, founding Chief Executive Officer of O2 Environmental and Chief Executive of its subsidiary company BlueTech Research. “The Spiral Water Filter is a very exciting development, as the combination of the company’s next generation filtration technology and highly effective solids concentration/dewatering addresses real unmet needs in the industry,” he added.

Organized by parent company O2 Environmental, the BlueTech Forum brings together the world’s leading water technology companies, entrepreneurs, investors, executives and thought-leaders to hear cutting-edge presentations on market trends and insights.
