Sensorex goes truly portable

The UVT-LED-H accurately and efficiently measures UV transmittance in water.

Sensorex’s new UVT-LED-H portable handheld ultraviolet (UV) transmittance monitor provides accurate and rapid UV transmittance (UVT) readings in any application using UV disinfection. Compact and user-friendly, the devise is well-suited for lab use, field measurements, and calibration verification of online UVT in equal measures. The light-emitting diode (LED) light source notably lowers the burden of maintenance and impact on the environment, while also giving the UVT-LED-H an extended service life.

Presently, the user-friendly UVT-LED-H is the only portable handheld UVT monitor that is available. The ergonomic design of the unit ensures it is easy to operate with one single push button, and the instant measurements can clearly read on the backlit LED display with ease. The UVT-LED-H confirms and validates the dose of UV as well as the efficiency of UV disinfection systems in drinking water, wastewater, and other applications for industrial water quality – like the water from food and beverage processes, and quality testing laboratories associated with the aforementioned applications.

The devise’s efficient UV-C LED lamps offer higher stability, with improved accuracy when compared with other equipment with conventional light sources made of mercury. Further benefits include zer warm up time and very low battery consumption, with the devise able to take up to 350 readings on one single charge.

The mercury-free UV-C LED light also extends sensor service life up to five times in comparison to monitors that use mercury lamps. At the same time, it also significantly brings down any operating expenses associated with UVT monitoring by removing field serviceable parts and lowers its impact on the environment as its lamps do not contain harmful mercury.
