Rockwell Automation Water Wastewater webinar returns for Part 2 to accelerate utilities’ digital transformation

In Part 2, Rockwell Automation aims to empower water companies to achieve business efficiency with cybersecurity and digital transformation

Following the success of its first Water Wastewater webinar last month, Rockwell Automation will be hosting the second and final part of the webinar, entitled The Next in Digital Transformation for Water Wastewater Industry (Part 2) to empower water companies achieve business efficiency with cybersecurity and digital transformation.

Digital transformation starts with connecting disparate devices, applications and data sources across the enterprise. Speaking at the webinar are Louis Loh, information software sales lead; and Grant McHenry, regional commercial leader, Asia-Pacific, Rockwell Automation, who will highlight how operators can simplify the process of connecting their devices, sensors, systems and assets with Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Innovation Suite.

Entitled Digital Transformation and Model Predictive Control in the Water Industry, the session will also explain how the Pavilion8 MPC technology, an advanced analytics solution, can be applied to processes where setpoints can be adjusted to maintain process performance. Particularly, Model Predictive Control is a closed-loop control technology that uses dynamic control models to predict the future trend of the process. It utilises actual process conditions and the dynamic models to calculate a series of optimal setpoints in the future that keep the process in control.

Cybersecurity is another topic that will be discussed at the webinar. Debraj Chakraborty, sales specialist, network security and services, Southeast Asia, Rockwell Automation, will be presenting on the topic Cybersecurity for Water, which will provide participants with information on how they can ensure reliable, safe and affordable access to water.

Reliable, safe and affordable access to water is not solely on the minds of water and wastewater managers. Many utilities have leveraged advancements in technology to help design, operate and maintain today’s smart, connected water plant. As such, Calvin Lai, business lead, software and control, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, Rockwell Automation, will share how a Rockwell Automation customer protects water supply through the building of smarter, more secure, and more sustainable infrastructure.

Rockwell Automation The Next in Digital Transformation for Water Wastewater Industry (Part 2) webinar will be taking place on Thursday, 26 Aug 2021, from 10-11:30am Singapore Time.
