Technology company Ovarro has opened a new leakage service centre for European customers, based at the company’s manufacturing facility in Steenwijk, Netherlands.
The Ovarro European Service Centre is a dedicated hub for repairs, services and testing of all leakage equipment in mainland Europe.

The Steenwijk facility becomes Ovarro’s second European repair centre, alongside its site in Denmead, UK. Adding repair capacity and employing new staff will mean a faster, more efficient service for customers in Netherlands, France and Belgium and the rest of the European mainland.
Katie Good, vice-president operations at Ovarro, said: “Leakage reduction remains a priority for European water utilities, with companies working to achieve their own regulatory targets, alongside new leakage requirements in the revised European Drinking Water Directive.
“By integrating our repairs and manufacturing operations at Steenwijk, we have created a flagship, centralised site to serve the water market in mainland Europe more efficiently. Ovarro mainland European operations are growing, as such, we have plans to expand the Steenwijk site to meet water market demands.”
Ovarro Steenwijk manufacturing facility has a history in the design and production of telemetry, data acquisition and automation and management systems, as well as monitoring, controlling and alarming for the water market. Products manufactured on-site include the Enigma leak loggers and SCOPE telemetry system.
