Swiss-based instrumentation company Endress+Hauser Group is handing over the management of its subsidiary specialising in laboratory analysis to Oliver Klaeffling as of 1 Feb 2023.
Ulrich Krauss, who joined German analytical technology company Analytik Jena management team in 2015, took over as managing director in 2016. “We would like to thank Krauss for his commitment, leading the reorganisation processes at Analytik Jena,” said Matthias Altendorf, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group.
His successor, 53-year-old Klaeffling, studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Berlin’s school of technical chemistry. He has held various positions in Germany and the US for pharmaceutical company Merck since 2004.

Klaeffling will be supported by the five-members management team. Analytik Jena contributes to Endress+Hauser’s goal of supporting customers from lab to production.
The Group is currently investing €50m in a modern company campus in Germany; a new production facility is to be built in Ilmenau, Germany, at a cost of €27m.
