NX Filtration has secured a four-year framework agreement with the Environment and Water Administration of Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, to supply replacement ultrafiltration membrane modules for drinking water treatment.
The agreement includes the supply of replacement modules for drinking water treatment facilities, including Lackarebäck Water Treatment Works, one of Sweden’s largest drinking water treatment facilities. It has an initial term of four years, with options for further extensions.
The agreement follows NX Filtration’s recent award for the new Minnesgärde drinking water treatment plant in Östersund, Sweden, where the company will supply nanofiltration technology.
The selection followed a negotiated tender process, with NX Filtration meeting the municipality’s requirements for product quality and availability, quality processes, organisational capabilities and technical support.
“The framework agreement is a sign of growing confidence in our membrane technology for drinking water applications,” said Gerhard Simon, sales director DACH & Nordics, NX Filtration. “We further strengthen our presence in Scandinavia and build on the momentum from our recent large-scale nanofiltration win for the new Minnesgärde drinking water treatment plant in Östersund.”
NX Filtration will supply the replacement membrane modules to support the Gothenburg Environment and Water Administration’s drinking water treatment operations.
