MICRODYN-NADIR is the technology leading membrane and module supplier for the micro-, ultra- and nano-filtration worldwide.

The membrane division of the former Hoechst AG, which used to be known as NADIR Filtration, was founded in 1966. In 2003, NADIR Filtration and MICRODYN Modulbau, whose roots go back to the AKZO AG, merged and have been an important player in the membrane market as MICRODYN-NADIR ever since.

MICRODYN-NADIR’s headquarters and main production facility are located in Wiesbaden, Germany, with additional production facilities in Singapore and Xiamen/China and sales offices in Raleigh,USA and Jundiaí,Brazil. MICRODYN-NADIR has 220 employees worldwide, of which approximately 100 are based in Wiesbaden.

With its well-known brands like NADIR®, BIO-CEL®, AQUADYN® and SPIRA-CEL®, MICRODYN-NADIR holds key market positions within the industrial and municipal water and waste water treatment sectors, with industrial focuses including Food and Beverage, Pharma and Biotech, Chemical Processes, Textile, Metal, Electronics and E-Coat / Automotive.

Throughout the past 50 years MICRODYN-NADIR has changed its corporate structure several times but quality, reliability, integrity, and innovations as well as its employees have always been priority number one! “We are proud to see what we have made out of our little ’membrane shop’. 2015 was especially marked by many exciting happenings. With the takeover by the world´s largest filter manufacturer MANN+HUMMEL from Ludwisgburg, MICRODYN-NADIR became the new headquarter of MANN+HUMMEL´s Water Division and has been responsible for their membrane and water activities ever since. In 2013 MICRODYN-NADIR began a strategic partnership with OVIVO USA. Ever since, OVIVO has been successfully driving growth in the MICRODYN-NADIR’s US municipal MBR business . To further expand its activities within the US and support the continuing growth of the US MBR market, MICRODYN-NADIR will be building its second BIO-CEL® line in the US.
