Meurer Research Inc. acquired by Parkson Corporation

Wholly-own subsidiary of Axel Johnson Inc., Parkson Corporation, has announced its acquiring of Meurer Research Inc. (MRI), in Golden, Colorado, the United States (US). The acquisition integrates two very well-established and respected brands, and also notably boosts Parkson’s standing in the water treatment industry.

MRI, founded and established in 1978, carries more than 50 patents and 5,000 installations, and is renowned for their high-capacity Hose-less Cable Vac™ Sludge Collector, Inclined Plate Settlers, MRI Mix & Match Flocculation Systems™, and Ultra-Scraper. Their estimated 50 employees work in a 43,000 sq ft (3,994 sqm) modern manufacturing plant built especially to produce aluminium and stainless steel water and wastewater treatment products. Those factors, along with their engineering, product design, research and development experience, and robust testing process conducted using in-house test tanks and simulators, have made MRI a leader in the industry, as well as the chosen brand for many water treatment challenges.

“This combination will further entrench both brands in their respective markets as the industry standard for many water and wastewater applications,” CEO of Parkson, Shamus Hurley, said. “And we’re delighted with the options it provides Parkson to increase the competitiveness of a number of our existing products and components, as well.”

C. Lonnie Meurer, majority owner and founder of MRI, stated, “We couldn’t have found a better partner to ensure the successful transition of our business and one that will continue to deliver peerless service to our valued customers and channel partners. Equally exciting is the potential this combination affords both companies in creating a ‘Centre of Excellence’ around water applications here in Golden.”
