Singapore-based industrial liquid-waste treatment specialist Memsift Innovations and German based Blowers & Compressors manufacturer PILLER have executed a cooperation agreement in the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to combine efforts and expertise to setup a new benchmark for industrial liquid-waste treatment and zero liquid discharge.
Memsift’s thermal separation process and membranes are based on innovative patented technologies that provide unique benefits over traditional brine treatment and zero liquid discharge solutions in small-to-medium scale. Memsift’s TS-30TM system uses an innovative thermodynamic principle based thermal separation process and a proprietary membrane STOMATE® that brings down the industrial effluents treatment cost significantly. Memsift was determined to further enhance the energy efficiency of its thermal membrane system by integrating energy efficient sub systems to make a new benchmark for industrial liquid-waste treatment and zero liquid discharge to recover maximum water and the valuable resources from the industrial liquid-waste. It would be advantageous to work with an energy efficient subsystem manufacturer to customise the subsystem to fit with its thermal membrane process to reduce the energy consumption to a new level.

The VapoFan is a compact and standardised design for lower cost and shorter delivery with perfectly matched blower and motor for mass flows from 200kg/hr to 5,000kg/hr that match with Memsift’s current focus.
This resemblance brings the companies together to enter into this agreement to work together to develop a prototype industrial liquid-waste treatment system by integrating Piller’s high speed MVR Blowers VapoFan with Memsift’s TS-30TM system to make a new benchmark for liquid-waste treatment and zero liquid discharge.
