Water solutions provider Memiontec has been awarded a S$56.6 million contract by PUB, Singapore’s national water agency. Under the agreement, the former will install membrane bioreactor equipment which has a treatment capacity of 22 MGD for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant Phase 2.
The works are scheduled to commence this May, and the contract duration is estimated to be around 23 months.
Tay Kiat Seng, executive director and CEO of Memiontec, commented: “Securing this contract from PUB is a significant achievement for Memiontec, both in terms of its contract value and technical complexity. The contract replaces the recently completed project for the complete replacement of a membrane filtration system at Tuas South Desalination Plant, which has a contract value of $33.2 million, as the largest single contract secured by Memiontec to date.
“Singapore has been one of our key markets for more than 20 years and securing this contract is a reflection of both our commitment and technical capabilities as a one-stop total solutions water treatment company. We are committed to continually supporting PUB in their efforts to enhance and develop Singapore’s water infrastructure and capabilities.”
