Liquisens, a provider of AI-based real-time water quality monitoring and insights, has completed a capital raise of €270,000. The main investor was the NXT Investment Club, with participation from BeAngels. The investment was approved after more than three-quarters of NXT members voted in favour of the project.
NXT Investment Club said the decision was based on the strong market demand for automated water quality monitoring combined with predictive analytics. The club noted that the solution offers clear health and risk management advantages, while reducing costs compared to manual sampling. NXT also considered the system sufficiently mature for scaling, with potential to strengthen further through industrialisation.
The investors expressed confidence in Liquisens’ ability to grow internationally and stated their readiness to support the company in expanding its global presence. As part of the agreement, Bart Smets will join the Liquisens board of directors as NXT’s representative.
Michael Kuhns, chief executive officer of Liquisens, said: “We are excited about this milestone and confident that this partnership will support Liquisens in advancing water quality monitoring and predictive analytics. This investment allows us to accelerate growth and demonstrates trust in our approach. With LiquisensPredict, we are moving from one-dimensional measurements to comprehensive three-dimensional insights. This enables our customers to understand and manage water quality more effectively, cut risks, and reduce costs. Our focus is on providing smarter, actionable data, and this investment is an important step towards that goal.”
