Ixom, a provider of water treatment and pre-treatment solutions, has finalised the acquisition of Medora Environmental (Medora), a provider of source water management solutions.
Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Ixom has presence in ground water treatment plants, water treatment systems and pre-treatment disinfection, chlorination and associated products and PFAS removal markets. The latest investment in the US now bolsters its global source water management offering.
According to Ixom, this deal brings together two source water industry providers in North America with long term experience and broad customer bases.
Based in North Dakota, Medora has a range of water treatment and wastewater sector products, associated to source water, waste water as well as potable water treatment, thereby offering essential source water treatment services to over 110,000 municipal water sources across North America.
Commenting on the acquisition, Ixom Group CEO Paul Atkinson said, “This significant investment for Ixom demonstrates our clear growth strategy expanding our Source Water Management footprint in North America and beyond.
“Coupled with our superior MIEX product line in North America, Europe and Australasia, the integration of both companies allows us to offer more products and end to end services along the water value chain for customers.”
Meanwhile, Ixom has appointed Greg Chirieleison as executive vice president of Source Water Care.
Chirieleison has previously held senior roles including managing director for Asia for Haynes International, a producer of specialty materials used in aero engines, gas turbines and chemical processing facilities.
He will commence in his new role in March 2020.
