Grundfos opens a SP sub factory in Semarang, Indonesia

In collaboration with local industry expert Tehnik Optima Pompa, pump solutions company Grundfos aims to provide large-scale deep-well pump solutions tailored to the needs of industries in Semarang and throughout Indonesia. The Grundfos SP are submersible borehole pumps, designed for pumping groundwater.

Grundfos announced the opening of its SP sub factory in Semarang, Indonesia in collaboration with Tehnik Optima Pompa

This partnership allows for the integration of local expertise to ensure that Grundfos pumps manufactured at the sub factory meet the standards required in the Indonesian market.

Boy Ramadhan, area sales manager for water utility at Grundfos Indonesia said, “This location allows us to enhance our responsiveness. By strengthening its local presence and production capabilities, we aim to forge partnerships, support economic growth, and contribute to the development of the pump industry in Semarang.”

The SP sub factory streamlined production processes enable faster availability and delivery of pump units, addressing the need for project completions and smooth operations in Semarang

The facility incorporates technologies and green production practices, optimising energy efficiency and minimising the environmental footprint to support Semarang’s efforts towards a greener future.

Ramadhan added, “Through our sustainable production practices, we strive to set new industry benchmarks in energy efficiency and waste reduction.”

The company will also participate in local social responsibility initiatives and as part of its long-term commitment to the Indonesian market

Grundfos will launch training programmes and workshops for local professionals in the pump industry. These initiatives aim to enhance skills, promote knowledge sharing, and support the growth of the industry in Semarang.
