In 2025, Gradiant recorded continued growth, extending its year-on-year revenue increase since the company’s founding. As water management became more closely linked to operational resilience and environmental performance, demand for advanced water and wastewater solutions increased across multiple industries. During the year, Gradiant deployed established technologies, introduced new solutions and expanded its activities across regions and sectors.
Strong fundamentals
Revenue increased by more than fifty per cent compared with 2024, while the company secured more than US$500 million in new orders, providing visibility into growth through 2026. Profitability also increased, reflecting operating leverage and project execution across a diversified portfolio.
Revenue was geographically balanced. Approximately one third of revenue was generated in the United States, around one quarter in Europe, with the remainder from the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific region. This distribution supported consistent delivery across both mature and emerging markets.
During the year, Gradiant strengthened its balance sheet through a US$50 million credit facility with HSBC, backed by receivables from established customers. Total available credit exceeded US$100 million, supporting the delivery of existing projects and future commitments.
Research and development remained a central focus. Feedback from operational projects continued to inform laboratory development, contributing to incremental improvements in efficiency and cost performance. New technologies were developed in response to customer requirements in water treatment and resource recovery.
Innovation and execution
Gradiant secured a contract to design and build an ultrapure water facility for a semiconductor manufacturer in Dresden, Germany. The company also worked with an international airport to deploy its ForeverGone technology to address PFAS contamination associated with firefighting foam.
In PFAS treatment, Gradiant reported further field deployment of ForeverGone, a process designed to destroy PFAS compounds rather than concentrate them for disposal. The approach avoids secondary waste streams associated with incineration or landfilling.
In Thailand, Archroma implemented a continuous flow reverse osmosis-based zero liquid discharge system, achieving up to 95% wastewater recycling while recovering minerals for industrial reuse.
Construction also progressed on a large wastewater treatment facility for a semiconductor manufacturer in the United States, with commissioning expected in 2026.
Deploying technology across industries
Projects advanced across water-intensive sectors, including data centres, advanced manufacturing and resource extraction.
Within the data centre segment, two new contracts were awarded for the design and deployment of water systems in the United States and the Indo-Pacific region.
Gradiant’s lithium business, alkaLi, announced a fully integrated lithium production facility using oilfield produced water. Located in the Marcellus Shale Formation in Pennsylvania, the facility is expected to reach commercial operation within the next year.
Industry recognition
In 2025, Gradiant participated in SXSW, contributing to discussions on industrial sustainability. The company was also named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025 and received a gold award at the Edison Awards for its PFAS destruction technology.
Members of the leadership team spoke at industry events including the GWI Global Water Summit, the IDRA Reykjavik Summit on Water and Climate Change and the Fastmarkets Lithium Supply Conference. The company also participated in international forums such as COP thirty, the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Abu Dhabi Finance Week, WEFTEC and Aquatech Amsterdam.
Looking ahead
Entering 2026, Gradiant reported a growing project backlog and continued geographic expansion. The company noted that future growth will rely on sustained execution, technical development and collaboration across teams.
With an established operational track record and ongoing integration between field experience and laboratory development, Gradiant indicated it will continue to focus on delivering water and wastewater solutions that support industrial activity while addressing long-term water availability.
