A two-day forum for improving TVET access, quality and management to promote employment and modernization in Myanmar was held on 15th and 16th July 2016 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The TVET Forum was organized by the Ministry of Education and its development partners, including ADB, European Union, KfW and GIZ among others. Myanmar’s State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi delivered the keynote speech to highlight the value of vocational education for the country’s development, to follow the TVET systems of the best and most successful countries in the world and to start the best TVET model schools.
Following the opening ceremony, State Counsellor, Union Minister for Education and other Union Ministers visited the TVET exhibition hall. Festo, together with its local partner Sea Lion, are the Gold Sponsors of the Exhibition and displayed basic and advanced training equipment in industrial education and industrial automation. These include Tec2Screen, Mobile Robotics, Process Automation Compact Station, Modular Production Stations, Electromechanical Systems, Electronics Training System, CNC Simulation, Pneumatics and Hydraulics Training Sets.
