Europump selects the UK for its 2024 gathering of pump industry executives

After a decade of absence, the European Pump Association (Europump) annual meeting and general assembly will be returning to the UK from 22-24 May 2024. Hosted by the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) and sponsored by WEG, this three-day event will take place at the De Vere Beaumont Estate near Windsor in the royal county of Berkshire.

The pump sector is committed to the preparation of energy efficiency and circular economy regulations. But digitalisation like regulatory debates on data sharing, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity, also require industry-wide consideration. Amidst international competition, where the public and private sectors are working closer to deploy strategies that promote national value chains, these fast-moving developments require an overarching Europe-wide positioning.

In support of the current Europe-wide legislative agenda, the BPMA, on behalf of Europump, will present a business agenda of real value to pump manufacturers. Sponsored by WEG a motor, drive, and asset management systems technology company — there will be a visit to Windsor castle, a river boat trip along the Thames, and two gala dinners.

BPMA CEO Wayne Rose, said, “It has been 10 years since the BPMA [hosted] Europump annual meeting, when it was held at St Andrews in Scotland. A decade on, we are again delighted to be hosting the annual meeting at Windsor. On behalf of the BPMA, I look forward to welcoming our international pump colleagues in May 2024.”

As with previous annual meetings, there will be sessions dedicated to the activities of Europump working groups: technical, standards, marketing and SME. Invited speakers will share about digitisation and AI, sustainability, the post-Brexit political landscape and the world pump market.

The event is open to all members of Europump, as well as those of its respective national associations. With a programme of talks, presentations, and social gatherings, it will provide an opportunity for senior executives from across the European pump sector to come together and develop their future goals.
