EasyMining and EPS Water have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on the promotion and delivery of EasyMining’s Aqua2N nitrogen removal and recovery technology in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The letter of intent sets out the intention to form a long-term partnership focused on circular nitrogen recovery solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities. During the letter of intent period, EPS will act as exclusive partner for representing and promoting Aqua2N in the region, subject to progress towards commercial projects.
Under the proposed framework, EasyMining will retain responsibility for core process design, technology packages and process performance, while EPS will lead local project delivery, including engineering, off-site construction, installation and commissioning.
John Svärd of EasyMining said the agreement supports the expansion of Aqua2N in the UK and Ireland and reflects alignment between the two organisations on nitrogen recovery. Shaun Stevens of EPS Water said nutrient management is an increasing priority for clients and described Aqua2N as a technology that enables resource recovery alongside removal.
The parties intend to negotiate a binding partnership agreement within nine months, which would define the commercial framework and delivery model for projects in the region.
