Industrie De Nora, an Italian multinational company listed on the Euronext Milan, has launched the SORB FX Pak, a contaminant removal system designed for small and rural communities.

The system supports both ion exchange (IX) and granular activated carbon (GAC) media, which are recognised by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as best available technologies for PFAS removal. With a compact footprint, external serviceability, and simple operation, the design aims to help utilities with limited space, staffing or resources.

The SORB FX Pak can treat flows ranging from ten to 150 gallons per minute. It is pre-engineered, skidded for plug-and-play installation, and available with rapid delivery. Vessels range from 20 to 48 inches in diameter, and configurations are available for either IX or GAC media in a lead-lag design.

The system is part of De Nora’s established SORB line, which has been applied for more than two decades and treats over 250 million gallons of water daily. The technology is used for the removal of PFAS, arsenic, iron, manganese, nitrate, fluoride, volatile organic compounds and other contaminants.

De Nora is a gold sponsor of the U.S. National Rural Water Association. The SORB FX Pak will be demonstrated at booth #321 during the association’s national conference, WaterPro, in New Orleans from 14-16 Sep 2025. It will also be featured at WEFTEC 2025 in Chicago from 27 Sep to 1 Oct at booth #2826.
