Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced that with strong support from Guangzhou municipal government, Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Summit Forum & Guangzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Conference had its grand opening in Shangri-La hotel, Guangzhou, China.
Over 1,000 guests attended the forum, including senior executives from leading Chinese and foreign companies, opinion leaders, industry users and news media. The leader of Guangzhou Municipal Committee, delivered the opening speech, and during the event, Dassault Systèmes of France signed agreements with the municipal government and local enterprises for a range of innovation and cooperation projects.
As the core city of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the coastal pivotal hub for the Belt and Road Initiative, Guangzhou is ascending to a leading global city. As a pilot demonstration city for Made in China 2025, Guangzhou focuses on key industries like new generation of IT, AI and biomedicine.
It will become an important innovation base for national high-end equipment manufacturing and the national demonstration and leading zone that closely combines intelligent manufacturing with intelligent services. Dassault Systèmes, the creator of 3DEXPERIENCE platform, is driving global industry renaissance with innovation, while actively participating the manufacturing transformation and upgrading initiatives led by local governments in China, providing different industries with technical services to enhance their innovation, manufacturing and management capabilities.
“Currently, we are experiencing a global industry renaissance and the boundaries between reality and virtual world are increasingly disappearing. Either in real or virtual environment, the ways of understanding the world, invention and creation, learning, production and trade is changing fundamentally,” Bernard Charlès, the vice chairman and CEO of Dassault Systèmes, said during his keynote speech in the conference. “While driving the development of virtual experience, AR and lifelike simulation, digital technologies are also renovating our relations with knowledge. AI will not replace human thinking, but help us to capture more knowledge and professional skills. Virtual assist technology will enable us to improve the ability of creating solutions that can address the challenges facing mankind.”
This session of intelligent manufacturing conference aims to better support the transformation and upgrading of Guangzhou manufacturing, drive industry development and build an exchange platform for advanced ideas and best practices of digital technology to more manufacturing enterprises with innovation demands.
It is said that Dassault Systèmes will deeply cooperate with the municipal government, the district governments and local enterprises in a number of fields and successively start a series of innovation projects. Dassault Systèmes will leverage its own cutting-edge technologies to support the transformation and upgrade of Guangzhou manufacturing and help the municipal government improve the level of urban management, so as to create an ecosystem for innovation and intelligent manufacturing that can bolster related upstream and downstream industries, increase additional value and encourage entrepreneurship.
Among these initiatives, to invigorate the innovation capabilities of Yuexiu District and accelerate the sino-foreign cooperation around advanced manufacturing, the district government already worked with Dassault Systèmes to build a Dassault Systèmes innovation centerproject. With the main purpose of training talents and trading production capacities, the center will use the advanced technologies of Dassault Systèmes to build an ecosystem for innovation and intelligent manufacturing, activate redundant capacity, bolster related upstream and downstream industries, increase additional value and support entrepreneurship.
In addition, digital solutions for life science, smart city, energy, shipbuilding, automotive and cloud were demonstrated in 3D interactive experience zone. At the same time, “Innovate, Guangzhou” exhibition that representing the new image of Guangzhou as a city of technology, innovation and opportunity was also held to elaborately showcase the innovation enterprises, figures and models of Guangzhou, and played the strongest role in Guangzhou’s innovation.
