Danfoss: Heikki Hiltunen seeks out new challenges

Heikki Hiltunen, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Aftermarket service, has chosen to leave Danfoss Drives in order to take on new challenges after 15 years with the company.

“I have come to the conclusion that now is the time to really grasp a new opportunity in my professional life, “Hiltunen said. “I am 54 years old and, after 30 years in the drives and automatisation business, I am excited to start a new chapter in a new role and in a completely new type of business.”

According to Danfoss Drives, he will be leaving the organisation at the end of July, and will be joining iLOQ, an electronic lock systems specialist company, as their CEO. During the interim period before a successor is appointed, President of Danfoss Drives, Vesa Laisi, will temporarily assume his responsibilities.

“I would like to thank Heikki for 15 years of cooperation and contribution to the success of both the former Vacon and now the Danfoss Drives business that we have built after the merger,” Laisi stated. “I feel very comfortable that this period of change will be handled extremely professionally. Our team knows it is business as usual in relation to delivering ultimate customer support and, together with Heikki, we have already started the preparation for a smooth transition.
