CST Industries celebrates 125 years of success

World’s largest and leading bolted tank and aluminium dome and cover manufacturer, CST Industries, Inc., will be celebrating 125 years of legacy this year, and will be marking 2018 with a range of activities, beginning with thanking customers around the globe as well as reflecting on its legacy across the dry bulk and liquid storage markets.

Founded in 1893 as Columbian Steel Tank in Kansas City, Missouri, United States (U.S.), CST was the first company to design and manufacture bolted steel tanks with the American Petroleum Institute (API) monogram beginning in 1929. As a market innovator, CST most recently debuted TecTank FP™, with the first ever jacking system designed by licensed professional engineers and Proof Load Tested by a third party lab, and the OptiDome® to increase water shedding and eliminate ponding on domes.

CST’s long-term success can be traced to not only their advanced product offerings, but also a culture driven by service and delivery.

“We see this exceptional milestone as an opportunity to both honour our legacy and look into our future. Throughout this year, we want to celebrate by thanking the people around the world who have made CST what it is today. To the thousands of valued customers, dealers, strategic partners, associates, and everyone who believes in our products, we thank you,” Tim Carpenter, CEO of CSTN Industries, said. “No one could have predicted the histrionic events that have taken place in the storage tank and cover businesses over the past 125 years. At CST, we have seen a lot and it has been a remarkable journey for us to take as a corporation, alongside our dedicated customers and elite team of representatives and authorised dealers. We have weathered troubling market cycles, but thanks to our market leading innovation, unrivalled experienced and customer minded vision, we have not only succeeded, but have grown where most companies will never be able to realise. We are proud to be celebrating 125 years in business, and we are not slowing down.”
