CMS Asia: New trade exhibition for cleaning and environmental solutions to launch in Singapore

The inaugural edition of CMS Asia, organised by Messe Berlin Asia-Pacific, will be held in Singapore from 8–10 Jun 2027 in partnership with the National Environment Agency’s (NEA) CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESG). CESG is a global platform that brings together stakeholders from the environmental services industry to exchange ideas, showcase advanced technologies and establish strategic partnerships.

The event marks the beginning of a landmark 12-year partnership between NEA and Messe Berlin Asia-Pacific, covering up to six biennial editions of CESG from 2027 to 2039.

As cities across the Asia-Pacific region continue to urbanise, demand is increasing for smarter, more efficient and sustainable solutions in urban cleaning, public hygiene, facility management, waste management and environmental resilience. Together, CMS Asia and CESG will create an integrated regional platform for business exchange, innovation and policy dialogue, connecting innovators, technology providers, service operators, policymakers, asset owners and major buyers across the environmental services ecosystem.

Katrina Leung, managing director and vice-president, Asia-Pacific, Messe Berlin, said: “Asia-Pacific is one of the world’s most dynamic regions for urban development, infrastructure growth and sustainability transformation. With CMS Asia, we are creating a dedicated business platform for the industries that support cleaner, healthier and more resilient cities, from cleaning and facility management to environmental services and sustainability solutions. Together with CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, CMS Asia will bring policy dialogue, innovation, business exchange and technology sourcing together in one place.”

Alexander Lim, managing director of CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, added: “As the world faces increasingly complex environmental challenges, including climate change, Singapore remains committed to advancing global collaboration and strengthening capabilities in environmental management. This partnership with Messe Berlin Asia-Pacific reinforces that commitment and further enhances CleanEnviro Summit Singapore’s role as a leading regional platform for policy dialogue, industry engagement and innovation.”

CMS Asia: A regional platform for clean, healthy and sustainable cities

Developed by Messe Berlin Asia-Pacific and adapted from the internationally recognised CMS Berlin brand, CMS Asia is set to become a leading Asia-Pacific business platform for cleaning, facility management and environmental services.

Under the partnership, the exhibition component of CESG will be branded as CMS Asia and organised by Messe Berlin Asia-Pacific, drawing on the company’s exhibition expertise and international industry network. The exhibition will feature solutions spanning cleaning and hygiene, smart facility management, waste and resource recovery, pest management, environmental monitoring, sustainability technologies and public health technologies.

Designed with the realities of Asia-Pacific’s dense urban environments, tropical operating conditions and evolving sustainability requirements in mind, CMS Asia will focus on practical and scalable solutions for cities, transport networks, healthcare facilities, public buildings and commercial infrastructure.

Visitors can expect country and city pavilions, themed exhibition zones and live demonstrations, providing hands-on insight into innovations ranging from robotic and autonomous cleaning systems to smart technologies for transport hubs, healthcare facilities and public infrastructure.

CESG to provide policy and thought leadership

As part of the partnership, CleanEnviro Summit Singapore will continue to provide the policy and thought-leadership component of the integrated platform, reinforcing Singapore’s position as a hub for environmental policy exchange and innovation.

Held biennially, CESG brings together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, innovators and academics from around the world to discuss environmental governance, regulatory developments and practical solutions for sustainable, climate-resilient urban management. The summit also encourages the development and sharing of innovative and scalable solutions through initiatives such as the Sustainability Summit, the Sustainability and Clean Environment Convention covering waste management and resource circularity, cleaning and public hygiene, and pest management, as well as curated technical site visits.

Together, CMS Asia and CESG will offer a comprehensive programme of exhibitions, conferences, business-matching sessions and live demonstrations, with the aim of supporting higher standards of environmental hygiene, operational efficiency and sustainable urban management across the Asia-Pacific region.
