Armstrong Fluid Technology has launched its systems envelope – fluid management station (SE-FMS), a modular solution developed to improve fluid management across hvac systems, with a focus on operational efficiency, system reliability and lifecycle performance.
The SE-FMS is built around Armstrong’s envelope core platform, which integrates performance mapping, digital twinning and real-time system monitoring. These digital capabilities enable ongoing optimisation of system performance and support informed operational decision-making throughout the system lifecycle.
The modular configuration of the SE-FMS allows it to be supplied in simplex, duplex or triplex arrangements, providing flexibility for different mechanical room layouts. Its compact footprint can reduce floor space requirements by up to forty per cent, while modular components can be reconfigured without specialised tools.
Energy performance is enhanced through optimised staging, sensorless control and embedded intelligence, which can reduce energy consumption by up to thirty per cent. Embodied carbon can also be lowered by up to fifty per cent through material and system efficiencies.
Factory assembly and verification allow the system to be delivered pre-wired and prepared for commissioning. This approach can reduce installation costs by up to thirty per cent compared to conventional systems. Commissioning is supported by Armstrong’s wrench app, which streamlines system setup and verification.
Operational reliability is supported through built-in redundancy, iso-certified factory assembly processes and continuous performance monitoring. The system is also designed to be smart-ready and cybersecure, enabling secure connectivity to envelope core for real-time performance verification, lifecycle tracking and predictive analytics.
In addition, Armstrong’s adept software selection tool supports system design by enabling engineers to optimise hvac applications based on total flow, head, redundancy and turndown requirements.
“The SE-FMS reflects Armstrong’s ongoing focus on improving system performance while reducing operational and lifecycle costs,” said Sam Shaban, senior engineering manager, mps, at Armstrong Fluid Technology. “By combining modular design with digital intelligence, it offers a practical approach to improving efficiency, reliability and flexibility in hvac fluid management systems.”
