TÜV SÜD is Bronze Sponsor of the Aid & International Development Forum Asia Summit 2016 on 21and 22 June 2016 in Bangkok. By this engagement the international safety and sustainability solutions provider supports the aim of the summit to improve innovations for regional health and WASH programmes.

Gerald Kresta of TÜV SÜD Water Services in Singapore is one of the speakers of the panel „WASH Innovations and Good Practices“ at the Aid & International Development Forum Asia Summit 2016. The panel focuses on ensuring access to safe drinking water and sanitation, solutions for water treatment, wastewater management in rural areas and resource recovery. Drawing on TÜV SÜD’s experience in developing leading practices for water distribution and innovative decentralized sanitation solutions for developing countries, Mr. Kresta will show how leading commercial practices can be utilized to ensure that safe, robust technologies are developed, selected and correctly installed, operated and maintained to ensure longevity. This approach ensures that the selected water and sanitation technologies have a sustained positive impact on public health.

The water, energy and food nexus and the rise in environmental awareness necessitate projects of increasing complexity that link water treatment and re-use, energy recycling and resource recovery. Balancing this nexus if often more challenging in developing nations where water scarcity, gaps in technical expertise and infrastructure are in tension with economic development. As trusted partner for the water and wastewater sector, TÜV SÜD has a reputation for independence and impartiality. With their deep interdisciplinary knowledge the experts improve the quality and efficiency of water technologies, processes and systems.
