Black & Veatch earns honours in Hong Kong Industry Award
Black & Veatch is the bronze winner in the Innovative Enterprise category in the HSBC x HKET Innovative Business Award 2018.

The HSBC x HKET Innovative Business Award is organized by HSBC Commercial Banking and Hong Kong Economic Times (HKET). It recognizes Hong Kong businesses which have successfully grown beyond boundaries through innovation and technology. The organizers received more than 200 entries for the awards.
This award reflects Black & Veatch's long-term commitment to improve Hong Kong’s living environment and promote industry innovation. Highlights of its commitment are:
- Happy Valley Underground Storm Water Storage Scheme, a 60,000 m3 storage tank underneath the infield area of the racecourse at Happy Valley. The project won the Innovation and Creativity Grand Award of the 2017 Hong Kong Awards for Industries, East Asia Region, Grand Prize in the Planning category of the 2012 International Water Association Project Innovation Awards and Second Prize in the Mainland China Da Yu Hydraulic Technology Award
- Tai Po Water Treatment Works, which won the “Top Winner Award" of the CIC Sustainable Construction Award 2018 and Global Grand Prize of the 2006 International Water Association Project Innovation Awards (Design Projects)
- Aviation Fuel Submarine Pipeline at Hong Kong International Airport, which won the International Society of Trenchless Technology 2018 No-Dig Award for deployment of the 5.2 kilometres twin 500 millimetres diameter aviation fuel pipeline
Matthew Cheung, chief secretary for Administration, HKSARG, presented the prizes during the Award Presentation Dinner.
